The severity of these penalties increases with each successive charge. Your lawyer can fully explain the costs of a DUI conviction and help you plan your best defense.
A DUI investigation begins the moment a person is pulled over or stopped by the police. Wicomico law enforcement officials are trained to draw incriminating statements out of the individual they are questioning. These statements will then be used as evidence by the prosecutor at trial. Keep in mind that you have the right to remain silent and the right to contact a Wicomico Criminal lawyer. Although police may be persistent in their questioning, you should be polite but forcefully state that you cannot make any statements without your attorney present.
